Prices must be firm and quoted in South African Rands, including all taxes and delivery costs. Bids remain valid for 120 days after closing. Clarifications may be requested until 25 June 2026 at 12:00. No contact with the College is permitted from bid submission to contract award.

Scope: Removal, safe disposal, and replacement of asbestos roof sheets and associated refurbishment works at Ikhala TVET College, Ezibeleni Skills Centre. Contractor must have CIDB Grading 6GB. Work is subject to JBCC Construction Contract conditions. Deliverables include: asbestos removal (complying with health, safety, and environmental regulations), disposal, roof replacement, and refurbishment. A work plan/construction methodology must be submitted (Table 1). Site establishment, protection, insurance, and warranty/defects liability are required. All drawings and specifications in the Bill of Quantities must be adhered to.
Pricing must be firm (non-variable) and quoted in South African Rands, including VAT, all duties, taxes, transportation, insurance, and incidental costs. Submit SBD 3.1 (Pricing Schedule for Firm Prices). Price escalation details (Schedule C) and annual adjustments (if applicable) must be included. Performance security may be required. Payment terms and price adjustments are governed by the Special Conditions of Contract (Section G). Bids must remain valid for 120 days post-closing. Cost of bidding is borne by the bidder; the College is not liable for any bid preparation costs.
Mandatory: CIDB Grading 6GB. Registration on National Treasury Central Supplier Database (CSD) is required; provide CSD number. Valid original Tax Clearance Certificate (valid for 6 months) must be submitted; failure to do so invalidates the bid. B-BBEE Verification Certificate or sworn affidavit (for EMEs/QSEs) must be submitted to qualify for preference points. Company registration (CIPC) and municipal account verification are required. For joint ventures/consortia, each party must submit separate Tax Clearance Certificates, CSD numbers, and B-BBEE documentation. SBD forms (SBD1, SBD2, SBD4, SBD7, SBD8, SBD9) must be completed. No bids accepted from state employees or entities with state-employed directors. Declaration of Interest (SBD4) and past SCM practices (SBD8) must be submitted. Certificate of Independent Bid Determination (SBD9) is required to prevent collusive bidding.
