Scope: Maintenance of access roads in Umzimvubu Local Municipality, Eastern Cape. Projects include Ngwekazana, Malenge, Qadu, Baquqeni, Sugarbush, and Ziqungwini to Nqabeni access roads as part of the 2026-27 infrastructure maintenance programme.

Pre-qualification: Minimum 60% score required for Ziqungwini to Nqabeni Access Road. Evaluation criteria: 40 points for company experience, 40 points for key personnel experience, 20 points for technical capacity. B-BBEE: 80/20 system with 20 points allocated for specific goals (4 points each for 50%+ youth ownership, 50%+ female ownership, 100% black ownership, people living with disability, and Umzimvubu Local Municipality-based suppliers).

Advert date: 03 June 2026. Bid documents available on e-Tender Portal from 05 June 2026. Compulsory briefing sessions and site visits scheduled for 11-12 June 2026 at 10:00 AM for various projects. Closing dates: 17-19 June 2026 at 12:00 noon.

Mandatory documents: SARS confirmation with verification pin, company registration/Founding Statement/CIPC document, originally certified ID copies of Managing Directors/Owners, properly filled MBD forms 1, 4, 6.1, 8, and 9, and Billing Clearance certificate or Statement of Municipal Accounts or affidavit/lease agreement/residential confirmation with a declaration that the company and all active directors do not owe municipal services for more than 90 days. Document certification must be within 90 days.
