• Submit the tender offer using the Form of Offer and Acceptance (Part C1.1).

• Key activities include draining fire water tanks, supply and installation of valves, heat exchangers, sight glasses, pipe replacements, level gauges, and overflow valves.
• Products used must be SABS approved.
• Contractor must submit a detailed Safety file and provide full PPE for employees before work commences.
• Risk register includes matters like existing services, access to site, delays in supply, progress against program, and travelling public.

• Contractor must provide CVs for key people as part of tender schedule.
• Key personnel details include name, job, responsibility, qualifications, and experience (to be filled by contractor).
• Contractor’s experience and qualifications are assessed as part of tender evaluation.

• Total offered prices inclusive of VAT must be stated in words and figures on Form of Offer and Acceptance.

• Contract uses Option B: Priced contract with Bill of Quantities.
• Payment is based on the Price for Work Done to Date, calculated from completed quantities multiplied by rates and proportion of lump sums.
• Assessment interval: four weeks.
• Currency: South African Rand.
• Payment period: four weeks after assessment.
• Interest rate: prime lending rate of Nedbank Bank.
• Performance bond: 10% of contract value, unconditional and on-demand.
• Retention: 5% of contract value.
• Delay damages: 0.05% per day, maximum 10% of contract value.
• All rates in the Bill of Quantities are exclusive of VAT.
• No mark-up on disbursement costs; certain costs (e.g., travel, accommodation, telephone) are not payable.

• Contractor must annually present a compliant B-BBEE Certificate; failure is a material breach.
• Contractor must comply with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Construction Regulations.
• A written Occupational Health and Safety Agreement (Section 37(2)) must be concluded before work starts.
• Contractor must provide proof of insurance cover as per ACSA Insurance Clauses (e.g., public liability, professional indemnity if design element involved).
• Contractor must be in good standing with the Compensation Fund or Licensed Insurer for COID Act coverage.
• Contractor must ensure all employees and subcontractors comply with OHS Act requirements, including baseline risk assessment, safe work procedures, and use of PPE.

• Contractor must adhere to ethical standards, including anti-bribery and corruption laws.

• Mandatary (Contractor) must ensure compliance with OHS Act and COID Act.
