• Intellectual property: All drawings prepared by the contractor become the employer's property and can be used for any purpose.
• Confidentiality: Contractor must not disclose employer-provided or project-related documents to third parties without written consent.
• Safety signage compliant with SANS 1186-1:2015 must be installed along the fence.
• Specific safety signs required: 'Beware of electric shock' and 'Live Apparatus' at 50m intervals and on gates.
• Contractor responsible for site safety signage in laydown areas.
• Electrical safety: Ensure existing energized fences are isolated before removal work.
• Earthing system must be installed as specified for electrical safety.

• Site clearance must protect protected species of trees; notify employer if encountered.
• All removed vegetation must be disposed of at the designated Matimba Ash dump (12km from site), subject to employer confirmation.

• Removal and disposal of old fence materials:
• Steel components to be sorted and sold as scrap.
• Concrete components to be placed in skip bins for disposal at a location selected by the employer.

Tender scope: Upgrading of a security fence for a 12-month period. Mandatory submission requirements: Local Content Declaration (Annex C, D, E) and accurate breakdown of imported vs. local content.

General: Applicants must be registered and compliant with South African tender regulations. Must demonstrate ability to meet ESKOM’s technical and quality standards for security infrastructure. Local Content: Minimum local content percentages may apply (implied by declaration requirements). Preference may be given to tenders with higher local content contributions. Compliance: Must comply with SATS 1286.2011 and other relevant ESKOM or South African standards. Accurate and transparent disclosure of imported content, local content, and financials is required.

Pricing must exclude VAT for all calculations. Local content and imported content values must be declared separately, with detailed breakdowns for: exempted imported content, direct imports by the tenderer, third-party imports, and foreign currency payments. All foreign currency values must be converted using the tender exchange rate. Totals must align across Annex C, D, and E.

Local Content Declaration required, consisting of: Annex C (Summary Schedule), Annex D (Imported Content Declaration - Supporting Schedule), and Annex E (Local Content Declaration - Supporting Schedule). All calculations must correspond and align across annexes. Signature and date from Annex B must be included in Annex C, D, and E.
