Scope: Rehabilitation, renovations, and refurbishments to Pearston Library, including additional prefabricated library and ablution structures. Contract duration: 6 months. Contract type: JBCC Principal Building Agreement 2000 Edition 6. Eligible contractors must have CIDB Grading of 3GB PE, 4GB, or higher in the General Building (GB) class of works. Joint ventures are permitted if all members are in the GB class, the lead partner meets the CIDB grading requirement, and the combined grading meets or exceeds the required designation. Work must comply with SANS 10845-3 and the tender data. All trades in the Bills of Quantities must be priced; failure to do so may lead to elimination. Equivalent or better materials may be substituted for specified brands. Construction Health and Safety and EPWP specifications apply.
Pricing must be in South African Rands (ZAR), inclusive of all duties, taxes (except VAT), and levies applicable 14 days before the closing date. VAT must be shown separately at 15% if the bidder is a VAT vendor. Non-VAT vendors including VAT in prices must register with SARS within 21 days of award.
