Include a product brochure. Ensure quotation is received on time. Canvassing or contacting SABS personnel other than the designated contact will result in disqualification.

Evaluation uses the 80/20 Preferential Procurement Regulations 2022 system: 80 points for price, 20 points for specific goals (e.g., B-BBEE ownership levels). Only bidders meeting all technical and compliance requirements will proceed to evaluation. Points for price are calculated as Ps = 80(1 - (Pt - Pmin)/Pmin), where Pt is the tender price and Pmin is the lowest acceptable tender price. Specific goals include black ownership, black women ownership, and disability ownership tiers.

Supply and deliver an Impact Hammer Verification Kit with the following requirements: Powered by electricity mains (single phase, 230V, 50Hz). Energy range: 0 to 2 Joules, with calibration for intermediate values (0.1J, 0.2J, 0.35J, 0.7J, 1J, 2J). Accuracy: ±0.05 Joules. Digital display showing standard vs. measured values, multiple measurement averaging/standard deviation, and storage/retrieval of verification values. Commissioning: Supplier must be available during assembly and commissioning by SABS lab staff. Demonstrate all functionality during commissioning; compliance confirmed by joint sign-off. Documentation: Equipment manual, software, safety instructions, step-by-step training manual, and ILAC-accredited calibration certificate (from country of origin). Training documentation (soft or hard copy) must accompany the equipment. Product brochure required.

Quotation must include: rate per person, transportation costs (if applicable), disbursements, and fixed price. For foreign currency quotes, provide forward cover. No advance payments will be made; payment occurs only upon delivery of goods/services as agreed. SABS is not liable for bidder costs incurred during preparation or submission.

Mandatory: CSD registration report, valid B-BBEE certificate or sworn affidavit, SBD 4 (Bidder’s Disclosure Form), SBD 6.1 (Preference Points Claim Form). Bidders listed in the Register for Tender Defaulters or List of Restricted Suppliers will be disqualified. Calibration certificate must be from an ILAC-accredited laboratory (not available in South Africa; must be from country of origin). SABS reserves the right to reject non-compliant documents and require updates at the bidder’s expense.
