Submit an original specification sheet for the primers, including the manufacturer's name and address. If you are not the manufacturer, declare the manufacturer's details. Disclose in writing any inability to meet technical requirements. If your specification sheet is accepted, you must provide an 800-primer sample for ballistic evaluation and testing before any order is placed.

Evaluation is based on the submitted specification sheet. If accepted, a sample of 800 primers must be provided for ballistic evaluation and testing. Non-manufacturers must declare the intended manufacturer’s details, which will be subject to the same documentation and testing requirements.

Supply 5.56mm Berdan M514A2 primers, a mechanical primer with: brass cup (70/30), brass anvil, Lead Styphnate-based non-corrosive priming composition, and a paper closing disc sealed with lacquer/varnish. Physical characteristics: outside diameter 4.47±0.03mm, overall length 2.95±0.25mm. Performance: must function when a 112±0.6g ball is dropped from 200mm (sensitivity) and must not function when dropped from 125mm (insensitivity). Shot time (T4) and ignition delay time (T2) must not exceed 1.5ms at +21°C, -54°C, and +52°C. Lot size ≤500,000, with each lot identified by lot number, type, and calibre. Primers must be free from major/minor defects (e.g., mixed types, no anvil, deformed caps, corrosion). Packaging must ensure no spillage or damage, with clear, accurate markings.

Submit an original specification sheet with the manufacturer’s name and address. Provide a Certificate of Conformance (COC) stating the consignment was inspected and tested per the specification by the original manufacturer. Include test results with the COC. Provide a priming mass record upon request. Declare any non-compliance in writing during the tender phase.
