Key tasks: - Conduct needs assessment for a centralised monitoring system for traded wildlife (priority species: rhino, lion, leopard, cheetah, elephant). - Review existing national/international systems (e.g., SMART, C-More, provincial systems, IUCN specialist group systems). - Develop specifications for the proposed system, including: Information architecture, software/hardware requirements, data capture protocols, security considerations, user database management, and tiered access controls. - Provide cost estimate for system development. - Inform governance, change management, and capacity development solutions.
