PetroSA seeks a qualifying, experienced, and reputable service provider to conduct a Life Extension Study for the FA Platform, an offshore manned production platform. The platform is located 85km from Mossel Bay, Western Cape, at a water depth of 105m. It is designed to produce up to 230,000 m³/h of dry gas and 119 m³/h of condensate. The platform’s jacket and flare boom were designed for a 60-year fatigue life but have been operational for 33 years. Scope: Conduct a Life Extension Study for PetroSA’s FA Platform, an offshore manned production platform located 85km from Mossel Bay, Western Cape, at 105m water depth. The platform has an eight-leg steel jacket (75m x 48m) secured by 24 piles (2m diameter, 120m deep). It includes modules for production, gas compression, drilling, accommodation, and a helideck. The study must determine the realistic and economical life extension years for the platform and subsea infrastructure, including: remaining fatigue life and strengthening requirements; integrity evaluation of jacket and topside structure; identification of critical equipment/systems needing repair or upgrade; stock holding and obsolescence management strategies; and recommended minimum manning levels for safe operations. The study must also review operations, maintenance, and engineering organisational structure, skills, and management/monitoring systems, ensuring compliance with current HSE legislation and standards. Deliverables: Life extension report; recommended upgrade/repair execution plan; recommended minimum manning levels; reliability and maintenance strategy improvements.

Bidders must provide a practical and feasible method statement for conducting the study. Requirements include: minimum 10 years’ experience in offshore asset life extension studies; references for similar projects; valid Quality Management System (e.g., ISO 9001); registration with relevant professional bodies; and a clear execution plan.
