Scope: Provide evaluation, testing, and issuance of Electrical Certificate of Compliance (COC) at Pietermaritzburg Airport ATNS Control Centre for 24 months on an as-and-when-required basis. Deliverables: Report findings, repair/replace non-compliant parts, issue COC per SANS 10142-1, SANS 1475-1, SANS 1475-2, and SANS 10105. Specific tasks: Inspect wiring systems, fuse boxes, switches, sockets, light fittings, earthing, bonding, switch box labelling, main switch compliance, circuit breakers, and conductor sizing. Provide quotes for repairs/replacements in consultation with ATNS. Issue Fire Compliance Certificate if required. Deliver services within 7 working days of official order (unless agreed otherwise). Service location: Pietermaritzburg Airport, ATNS Control Tower, 2 Pharazyn Way, Oribi Village, Pietermaritzburg, 3201. Quality: Work must meet high standards; products must be SABS-certified or equivalent. ATNS may test quality and terminate contract for non-compliance.
Submit a completed and signed SBD 3.3 Pricing Schedule (Professional Services) with all applicable taxes included. Pricing must cover: Fixed/Baseline Services (COC inspection, testing, certification, fire compliance, reports), Labour Rates (certified electricians, assistants, specialists, after-hours/emergency call-outs, standby fees), Repair & Maintenance (circuit breakers, switches, sockets, light fittings, distribution boards, earthing, bonding, fuse boxes, cabling, main switches), Compliance Testing (earth continuity, insulation resistance, circuit breaker verification, load testing, labelling). Rates are per unit/activity; no minimum work volume guaranteed. Payment based on actual work executed. Emergency rates apply outside normal hours. All materials must be SABS-approved. Grand Total used for price evaluation. Contract ceiling value determined by ATNS.
Administrative Requirements: Valid SARS Tax Compliance Status PIN (valid for 60 days), latest full CSD registration report, CIPC registration documents, proof of shareholding (shareholder certificates + ID copies of shareholders/directors), valid B-BBEE Certificate or Sworn Affidavit (EMEs/QSEs), completed SBD forms (SBD 1 Part A, SBD 1 Part B, SBD 4, GCC acknowledgment). Mandatory Requirements: Compulsory site visit attendance (sign register), CIDB Grading 2EB or higher (or proof of application), valid COIDA Letter of Good Standing or Mutual Association Policy, Electrical Wiremanβs License (DoL), KwaZulu-Natal locality footprint (e.g., municipality bill, lease agreement, MoU with local partner). Failure to meet any mandatory requirement results in automatic disqualification. Additional: Declaration of Interest, Invitation to Bid form, and professional body registrations (if applicable) must be submitted.
