False declarations on Municipal Bidding Documents (MBD) may lead to automatic disqualification. Recommended bidders will be subjected to a vetting process.
Scope: Provide calibration services for City of Johannesburg sound level meters and issue calibration certificates. Key deliverables: Calibrate sound level meters to ensure accurate and reliable measurements for legal processes. Collect all sound level meters from COJ Environmental Health Central offices and return them to the same office post-calibration. Provide a service/maintenance plan for all calibrated sound level meters. Provide a SANAS accreditation certificate. Operational requirements: Collections must occur Monday to Friday, 08:30β15:30, as per agreed timeframes. Equipment will be collected from all 7 Regional Offices (A to G). The service provider must be fully insured against accidents, loss, or damage during transportation and calibration. Penalties apply for non-compliance or substandard service, recoverable via deductions from amounts owed. Technical documentation required: SANAS Accreditation Certificate (ISO/IEC 17025) for the calibration laboratory. Document detailing specific calibration services covered under SANAS accreditation, including measurement ranges and uncertainties. Traceability certificates for calibration equipment and standards (e.g., SI units). Calibration procedures and methods aligned with IEC 61672-1 for sound level meters. If correction fluid is used, the quotation will be disqualified. Payment terms: All purchases will be made via an official purchase order. No goods or services may be delivered or rendered before an official purchase order is issued and accepted. Forward exchange rate cover: If prices are based on exchange rates, the successful bidder must obtain forward exchange rate cover within 14 days of order placement to protect against fluctuations. Proof of cover must be submitted with the invoice; failure to do so may result in contract cancellation. VAT: Suppliers not registered for VAT will be treated as non-VAT vendors. Financial compliance: A valid Tax Clearance Certificate or SARS One-Time Pin Code must be submitted with the quotation. If not submitted initially, the Municipality may request it within 7 days of notification. No contract will be awarded without valid tax compliance proof. Each party in a consortium/joint venture must submit separate tax clearance certificates or SARS Pins.
