• If yes, calculate local content using the formula in SATS 1286 and the SARB exchange rate.
• Failure to meet the CIDB Construction Skills Development Goal (CSDG) mandatory percentage will render your tender non-responsive.
• Mandatory subcontracting applies if the contract value is above R30 million: subcontract at least 30% to an EME or QSE that is 51% black-owned and located in rural/underdeveloped areas or townships.
• Submit a subcontracting agreement or letters of intent with the subcontractor's registration and B-BBEE documents.
• A supplier awarded the contract may not subcontract more than 25% to an entity with a lower B-BBEE status, unless subcontracting to a capable EME.

• Meet stipulated local content thresholds for designated commodities; failure to achieve the minimum threshold will result in disqualification.

• A maximum of 10 points (90/10 system) or 20 points (80/20 system) is awarded for B-BBEE status.
• Points are allocated based on B-BBEE Status Level from 1 to 8.
• Submit a valid B-BBEE certificate, sworn affidavit, or CIPS affidavit to claim points.
• Failure to provide documentation means you score points for price only and zero for specific goals.
• The contract is awarded to the highest total scorer.
