• The document defines a 'competitor' for the purposes of the Certificate of Independent Bid Determination.
• A competitor is any individual or organisation, affiliated or not, who has been or could potentially be invited to bid, and who provides the same goods/services or is in the same line of business.

• Bidders must submit a completed Pricing Schedule (MBD 3.1) with firm prices only.
• Non-firm prices, including those subject to exchange rate variations, will not be considered.
• The schedule must include item descriptions, quantities, unit prices, and total prices.
• The grand total must be in ZAR and include all applicable taxes.
• Bidders must declare that their directors do not have municipal rates and taxes in arrears for more than three months.

• Only firm prices will be accepted. Prices subject to exchange rate variations or other contingencies will not be considered.
• The total bid price must be in South African Rand and include all applicable taxes.
• All delivery/transport costs must be included in the bid price.
• Bidders must submit a completed Pricing Schedule (MBD 3.1) with their offer.
• Bidders (or their directors) must not have municipal rates and taxes in arrears for more than three months.

• Mandatory Central Supplier Database (CSD) registration is required for all bidders.
• Submit a valid original Tax Clearance Certificate or valid SARS PIN.
• Submit a valid B-BBEE certificate or a sworn affidavit compliant with the B-BBEE Practice Guide.

• All delivery costs must be included in the bid price.
