Supply and installation of kitchen equipment and plumbing works for border management authority

Appointment of a service provider for the supply and installation of a kitchen sink set and plumbing works. This includes the provision of specified kitchen appliances (microwave, fridge, urn) and associated plumbing infrastructure.

Evaluation is based on the 80/20 preference point system: 80 points for price, 20 points for specific goals (B-BBEE ownership: Black, Women, Youth). The lowest acceptable tender determines the price scoring formula. Specific goals points are allocated as follows: Black ownership (100% = 10 points, ≥51% = 5 points, >0% = 2 points), Women ownership (100% = 7 points, ≥51% = 5 points, >0% = 2 points), Youth ownership (100% = 3 points, ≥51% = 2 points, >0% = 1 point). Submit SBD 6.1 form to claim points. Quality standards must be met; disputes will be referred to arbitration.

Contract terms include: 12-month warranty on goods (or 18 months from shipment date, whichever is earlier). Supplier must repair or replace defective goods at no cost to the purchaser upon written notice. Payment terms: within 30 days of invoice submission, in South African Rands. Prices are fixed and inclusive of all taxes. Contract amendments require written agreement. Supplier cannot assign obligations without purchaser’s consent. Subcontracts must be notified in writing. Delays may incur penalties calculated at the current prime interest rate per day. Contract may be terminated for default, insolvency, or corrupt/fraudulent practices. Force majeure events may relieve the supplier of liability. Disputes will first be resolved via mediation, then in a South African court if unresolved. Supplier liability is limited to the contract price, except for repairing/replacing defective equipment. Governing law: South African law. All correspondence and documents must be in English.

Goods must conform to standards specified in the bidding documents. Supplier must not disclose contract details or specifications without purchaser’s written consent. Purchaser may inspect supplier’s records and audit performance. Pre-bidding testing costs are the bidder’s responsibility. Inspections during production or execution may be conducted at the supplier’s premises. If inspections reveal non-compliance, the supplier bears the cost and must replace or repair defective goods. Rejected supplies must be removed and replaced at the supplier’s expense. Purchaser reserves the right to cancel the contract for non-compliance.

Submit a firm pricing schedule using SBD 3.1. Only firm prices are accepted; non-firm prices (e.g., subject to exchange rate variations) will be disqualified. Prices must cover all goods, works, and obligations specified in the bidding documents. Include all applicable taxes (VAT, PAYE, income tax, UIF, skills development levies). Delivery costs must be included in the bid price. Offers must remain valid for 120 days from the closing date. Pricing must align with the SBD 3.1 form, including item descriptions, quantities, unit prices, and total prices (excl. VAT). Sub-total, VAT at 15%, and grand total must be provided.
