• Procurement of four (4) camera lenses and equipment for Iziko Museums of South Africa.

1. Camera tripod (x1): Compatible with Manfrotto X1 Ball Head MHXpro-BHQ2. Must be durable, compact, portable, height-adjustable to ~160cm, and lightweight.

2. Wide-angle lens (x1): 10-18mm, f/2.8 max aperture (no aperture above f/4.0 acceptable). Lightweight, dust/splash-resistant, sharp photos, autofocus preferred. Suitable for astrophotography and low-light settings.

3. Zoom lens (x1): 70-300/400mm reach (max 500mm), f/4 to f/22 aperture range. Lightweight, autofocus motor, dust/splash-resistant, optical image stabilization, weather-sealed, sharp photos.

4. Light pollution filter for wide-angle lens (x1): Broadband filter, durable/waterproof glass, maintains natural colors, anti-reflective coatings (preferred), ideal for urban astrophotography.

• Bidders must demonstrate expertise, experience, and technical capability in their proposals.
• Organizational capacity and project team support are considered in the "best value" evaluation.

• Submit a detailed pricing schedule for all items, including:

1. Camera tripod (x1): Compatible with Manfrotto X1 Ball Head, durable, compact, portable, height-adjustable to ~160cm, lightweight.

2. Wide-angle lens (x1): 10-18mm, f/2.8 max, lightweight, dust/splash-resistant, sharp photos, autofocus preferred.

3. Zoom lens (x1): 70-300/400mm, f/4 to f/22, autofocus, dust/splash-resistant, optical image stabilization, weather-sealed.

4. Light pollution filter (x1): Broadband, durable/waterproof, maintains natural colors, anti-reflective coatings.

• Quotes must be valid for 90 days from closing date. No cost variations allowed post-award.

• Submit a formal detailed quotation on company letterhead, including a full cost breakdown (inclusive of VAT, disbursements, and escalations if applicable).
• Pricing schedule must align with the quotation and include all applicable costs. No variations allowed post-award.
• Payment terms: Based on deliverables for goods received. Payment only after satisfactory completion and approval of invoices by the project manager.
• Quotes must remain valid for 90 days from the closing date (15 July 2026).

• Must be registered on the Central Supplier Database (CSD) with a valid supplier number and compliant tax status (Tax Status Verification PIN and tax registration number required).
• Submit a valid B-BBEE certificate or sworn affidavit to determine B-BBEE status level. Points are awarded based on black ownership (20 points for ≥50%, 10 points for <50%, 0 points for 0%).
• Complete and sign the SBD 4 (Bidder’s Disclosure) form. Bidders listed on the Register of Tender Defaulters or List of Restricted Suppliers will be disqualified.
• Confirm no conflicts of interest (e.g., state employment, relationships with procuring institution staff, or involvement in drafting specifications).
• Certify that the bid was prepared independently without collusion with competitors.

• B-BBEE points are awarded under the 80/20 system: 20 points for ≥50% black ownership, 10 points for <50%, 0 points for 0%.
• Submit a valid B-BBEE certificate or sworn affidavit as proof.
• Failure to submit proof results in 0 points for specific goals.
• Points are allocated based on the Preferential Procurement Regulations, 2022.

• The proposal and appended documentation form the basis for a formal contract to be negotiated between Iziko and the preferred service provider.
• A mere offer and acceptance does not constitute a formal contract.
• Contract may be canceled, and damages claimed if specific goals (e.g., B-BBEE) are fraudulently claimed or conditions are unfulfilled.
• Contractors may be restricted from public sector business for up to 10 years for fraudulent claims or non-compliance.

• Iziko reserves the right to accept or reject any quotation and may withdraw the RFQ at any time.
• The lowest or only quotation will not necessarily be accepted.
• Bids may be disqualified if: submitted late, incomplete, non-compliant with specifications, supplier not registered on CSD, or tax status is non-compliant.
• Any alterations to the tender document (beyond filling in bidder details and price) will result in automatic disqualification.
• Bidders must ensure complete email submissions are received by the closing date and time.
