iThemba LABS requires the supply of 20 reels of Metalised (Aluminium) PET tape with the following specifications: 100 µm thick, 12mm wide, non-adhesive, core diameter 76mm, and length per reel 480m.

Evaluation is based on functionality, price, and B-BBEE. The 80/20 preference point system applies: 80 points for price and 20 points for B-BBEE. If all bids exceed R1,000,000.00, the request is automatically cancelled. The contract will be awarded to the tenderer scoring the highest points, subject to section 2(1)(f) of the PPPFA. Points for price are calculated as Ps = (Pmin / Pt)

Contract is subject to the Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act (PPPFA) and the Preferential Procurement Regulations, 2022, as well as the General Conditions of Contract (GCC). Special conditions may apply. For advance payments, a payment guarantee approved by iThemba Labs Finance is required. Payment terms are 30 days from invoice receipt unless shorter terms (7 or 14 days from delivery) are mutually agreed upon, in which case a Payment Guarantee must be submitted to mitigate risks. A firm delivery period must be indicated in the quotation. Late submissions will not be accepted. Changes to the RFQ template or terms after the closing date/time will not be considered. Bidders failing to provide mandatory requirements may be disqualified. Fraudulent claims or non-compliance with contract conditions may result in disqualification, cost recovery, contract cancellation, or restriction from public sector business for up to 10 years.
