Submit bids using the Municipality’s provided documentation. Seal completed bid documents in an envelope, clearly marked with the tender number (NKA/TEC25/25/26) and project name. Deposit in the Tender Box at Municipal Offices, Lot 292 Maree Road, Nkandla, by 11h00 on 03 June 2026. Late, incomplete, unsigned, faxed, or emailed bids will be rejected. Bids remain valid for 90 days from closing date. Municipality accepts no responsibility for courier delays. Mandatory documents must be submitted as listed in the tender document to proceed to the next stage.

Evaluation follows a 3-stage process:

• STAGE 1: Compliance with mandatory information. Failure to comply results in disqualification.
• STAGE 2: Functionality (100 points). Minimum qualifying score: 70 points. Proposals below 70 are rejected.
• STAGE 3: 80/20 Preferential Points System (80 for price, 20 for specific goals/RDP Goals). PPPFA 2022 regulations apply.

Appointment to a panel of civil engineering contractors for construction and rehabilitation of municipal capital projects in roads and stormwater. Requirements: CIDB grading of 3CE or higher. Must have proven experience in construction and completion of roads and associated infrastructure. Panel appointment is for 36 months with annual performance screening.

Bid fee: Non-refundable R772.00 (inclusive of VAT), payable at Municipal Finance Department or via FNB Account No. 62720610717, Branch 220930 (use company name and bid number as reference). Bids must remain valid for 90 days from closing date (03 June 2026).

Mandatory compliance: Tax matters must be in order; bidders with outstanding tax issues will be disqualified. Bidders restricted from doing business with the state or listed in the default register are prohibited. Must submit all mandatory documents as listed in the tender document. Nkandla Municipality’s SCM policy applies.
