Tenderers must be registered with the CIDB in a grading designation of 1 GB or higher, or capable of registration prior to evaluation. Joint ventures are eligible if all members are CIDB registered and the combined grading meets the requirement. Tenderers must have a valid Tax Compliance Status PIN from SARS. Tenderers (or principals) must not be listed on the tender defaulters register, not be employed by the state/municipality without approval, and not have abused the employer's supply chain system. The tenderer must not be in arrears for municipal rates/taxes for over three months.
