• Scope: Supply and delivery of 38 mm crushed stone aggregate.
• Goods supplied must conform to standards mentioned in the bidding documents and specifications.
• The purchaser may inspect, test and analyse goods during production, on delivery or after delivery. Costs of inspections/tests are borne by the supplier if goods do not comply, otherwise by the purchaser.
• Goods found non-compliant may be rejected and must be replaced at supplier’s cost and risk.
• The supplier must provide packing sufficient to prevent damage during transit, considering extreme conditions and remoteness of destination.
• Delivery must be made in accordance with contract terms.
• The supplier may be required to provide incidental services such as on-site assembly, tools, manuals, maintenance/repair, and training of purchaser’s personnel.
• The supplier must notify the purchaser of all subcontracts awarded.
• Variation orders: Where estimated changes do not exceed 15% of original contract value, the contractor may be instructed to deliver goods or render services as such. For measurable quantities, unit price reductions may be accepted provided there is no escalation.

• Goods must conform to standards in bidding documents.
• Supplier must keep contract documents confidential and return them on completion if required.
• Purchaser may inspect supplier’s records and have them audited.
• Pre-bidding testing at bidder’s cost.
• Purchaser may inspect, test and analyse goods during production, on delivery or after delivery.
• Costs of inspections/tests borne by supplier if goods non-compliant, otherwise by purchaser.
• Non-compliant goods may be rejected and must be replaced at supplier’s cost and risk.

• Pricing must be quoted in South African Rand, inclusive of VAT.

• Payment terms: Purchaser will pay within 30 days after submission of a valid invoice accompanied by a delivery note.
• Prices quoted in the bid may not vary except for authorised price adjustments or bid validity extensions.
• Performance security may be required within 30 days of award, in the form of a bank guarantee, irrevocable letter of credit, or cashier’s/certified cheque.
• Penalties for delays: Deductions from contract price calculated using current prime interest rate per day of delay.
• Municipal accounts must be up to date. No award to bidders with arrears in municipal rates, taxes or service charges.
• Foreign suppliers are responsible for all taxes, duties, etc., imposed outside South Africa. Local suppliers are responsible until delivery.
