Unacceptable risks: No PrEng/PrTech Eng appointed, inability to execute scope, or lack of required CIDB grading. Scope: Refurbishment of Coal Silos 1–6 at Tutuka Power Station over 3 years. Works include: concrete repair (internal/external silo shells), sealing of cracks, application of protective coatings, stainless steel liner replacement, and carbon fibre reinforcement. Contractor must: 1. Adhere to the detailed repair methodology and specifications in Scope of Work [15ENG GEN-2041]. 2. Use prior inspections, laser scan data, and structural assessment reports as the basis for execution. 3. Appoint a PrEng/PrTech Eng to oversee repair mapping and execution. 4. Ensure structural defects are repaired per recommended practices/material specifications. 5. Restore long-term reliability and operational safety of the silos. 6. Comply with Construction Regulations 2014 and Eskom SHEQ procedures/quality standards. Standards: ISO 9001, Eskom Inspection Manual for Civil Works, NEC3 Contract.
