Mandatory compliance with ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System requirements, demonstrated via:

• Valid ISO 9001 certification (Option 1) OR
• Documented QMS evidence (Option 2) including manual, policies, procedures, and records as per ISO 9001 clauses (5.3, 7.5, 8.4, 8.7, 9.2, 10.2).

Additional compliance:

• Submission of Form A (completed and signed).
• Preservation and packaging methodologies for transportation must be documented.

Required returnable documents: SBD 6.2 Declaration Form and Annex C (Local Content Declaration-Summary Schedule). Failure to submit these may lead to disqualification. Scope: Supply and delivery of Valves to Matimba Power Station over 5 years (60 months) on an as-and-when-required basis. Designated sector: Valve Products and Actuators with a 70% local content threshold. Tenderers must separate proposals into local and imported components in the Price Schedule.

Eskom retains 2% of every invoice (excluding VAT) as security for SDL&I obligations. Penalty of 2% of contract value applies for failure to meet SDL&I obligations. Retained amounts released upon submission of an approved compliance report by the SDL&I Department.

B-BBEE: Valid certificate (SANAS-accredited) or sworn affidavit required. For EMEs (annual revenue ≤ R10M) or QSEs (annual revenue ≤ R50M, ≥51% Black-owned), a sworn affidavit suffices. Submit the completed and signed Form A (Template Identifier 240-43921804 Rev 3) to acknowledge acceptance of Eskom Supplier Quality Requirements as per 240-105658000 Specification and ISO 9001 Standard. Ensure only one applicable category is selected (Category 2 is marked as applicable in this document).

The tenderer must select and qualify under 'Category 2' as per clause 3.5 of specification 240-105658000 (other categories are not applicable). The tenderer must demonstrate capability and capacity as the main supplier (sub-supplier assessment is not applicable here). A signed acknowledgment of Eskom's quality requirements by the tenderer's Quality Representative is mandatory for bid submission.

The tender is open to suppliers/contractors who can demonstrate understanding of and willingness to comply with all OHS requirements. • Notify Eskom prior to appointing any contractors/suppliers
• Ensure subcontractors/suppliers have adequate resources and competencies
• Monitor subcontractors/suppliers via audits/assessments for OHS compliance
• Define grounds for termination of subcontractor/supplier work
• Handle all non-compliance issues directly with subcontractors/suppliers
• Provide testimonials/references and client contact details (including Eskom) for similar past work upon request

Penalties apply for non-conformance with Eskom or statutory OHS requirements by the main supplier or any tier of subcontractors/suppliers.
