CIDB registration: Minimum 8ME class; Joint ventures allowed with lead partner minimum 7ME and combined grading meeting 8ME; Mandatory professional registrations: Construction Project Manager (SACPCMP), Site Engineer/Agent (ECSA PrEng/PrTech), Construction Health and Safety Officer (SACPCMP); Trade certificates required for Electrician, Boilermaker, Fitter, Rigger (QCTO accredited); Must attend compulsory briefing session; Persons in service of the state are ineligible; Must have no municipal debt >90 days; Tax matters must be in order.

• Scope: Repairs and maintenance of Archimedes screw pumps on all ERWAT plants on an ‘as and when required’ basis for 36 months.
• Primary work is mechanical, but may include civil, electrical, and control & instrumentation aspects.
• Mandatory CIDB registration: Contractor grading designation of 8 ME or higher. Joint ventures allowed with specific lead partner and combined grading requirements.
• Mandatory key personnel with proof of qualifications and professional registrations:
• Construction Project Manager: NQF Level 7 in Mechanical Engineering/Construction Management, registered with SACPCMP.
• Site Engineer/Agent: Registered with ECSA as PrEng/PrTech.
• Construction Health and Safety Officer/Manager: NQF Level 6 in Safety Management/Environmental Studies, registered with SACPCMP.
• Electrician, Boilermaker, Fitter, Rigger: Trade Test certificates with QCTO accreditation.
• Workshop requirements: Lifting equipment (cranes, slings), machinery (lathe, welding, press), safety equipment, and defined workflow bays (receiving, stripping, assembly, etc.).
• Vehicle requirements: Crane truck (min 5 ton) and 2-ton vehicle.

• Pricing in South African Rand (ZAR). Prices fixed and firm for the first 12 months.
• Annual price increments based on MBD 3.2 pricing structure on the tender anniversary.
• Bidder must provide a letter of intent from an approved insurer for a Performance Guarantee.
• Financial capacity proof required: A letter from an FSCA/NCR accredited institution showing bank rating code (A-I). Rating affects scoring in functionality evaluation.
• ERWAT reserves the right to conduct financial investigations and determine market-related rates; the lowest price may not be accepted.

• CIDB Registration: Minimum 8 ME or higher class. Proof of current, valid registration required.
• Central Supplier Database (CSD) Registration: Proof of supplier number and unique reference ID required.
• B-BBEE: Submit a B-BBEE verification certificate from an accredited agency or a sworn affidavit.
• Tax Compliance: Proof of SARS Tax status (PIN) and completion of MBD 2 form.
• Company Registration: Submit company registration documents.
• Municipal Rates and Taxes: Updated record of payment (not older than 3 months) for the company and all directors. Specific provisions for leased premises, traditional lands, and spouses.
• Persons in the service of the state are not eligible to bid.
