Contractor must have valid CIDB registration (number to be provided in offer), comply with South African law, provide bank/insurer-accepted performance bond, and demonstrate capability to work in high-risk airport environment. Joint ventures must declare joint/several liability. Contractor must not be involved in corrupt practices (ethics clause Z21). Financial requirements include providing pricing exclusive/inclusive of VAT and adhering to activity schedule.

• Scope: Upgrade of the Jet-A1 Fuel Hydrant Emergency Shutdown System at O. R. Tambo International Airport.
• Works include: Conduct Hazard and Operability study and Safety Integrity Level Assessment; Standardise the Fuel Hydrant System Emergency Shutdown System; Upgrade the Fuel Hydrant ESD programmable electronic safety system; Handover/Record Information Report submission.
• Site: Airside Aprons (Alpha, Bravo, Charlie, Delta, Echo, Foxtrot, Golf) at O. R. Tambo International Airport.
• Key risks include: working in confined spaces with flammable/toxic vapours; explosive environments; fall protection; heavy object handling; waste and foreign object debris (FOD) management; works in a live aerodrome.
• Defects date: 52 weeks after completion of the whole works.
• Defects correction period: 4 weeks (1 week for defects causing operational, safety, or environmental risks).
• Quality management system required as per Works Information.

• Contractor must implement and maintain a quality management system as per Works Information.
• Submit a quality plan for acceptance within four weeks of contract date.
• Project Manager may instruct corrections for non-compliance.
• Defects correction period: 4 weeks (1 week for defects causing operational, safety, or environmental risks).

• Payment terms: Assessment interval between 3rd and 15th day of each month; payment within 4 weeks upon receipt of valid tax invoice.
• Interest rate: 0% above Nedbank's publicly quoted prime rate.
• Retention: 5% of total Prices.
• Performance bond: 20% of total Prices.
• Delay damages apply for late completion of sections and remainder of works.

• Contract governed by South African law.
• Performance bond required: unconditional, on-demand, for 20% of total Prices, provided by an accepted bank/insurer.
• Insurance: Employer provides principal controlled insurance (Contract Works, Public Liability, Removal of Lateral Support, SASRIA, Aviation Liability, Design & Construct Professional Indemnity). Contractor must provide additional insurances as deemed necessary, including compliance with Compensation for Occupational Injuries and Diseases Act.

• Waste and foreign object debris (FOD) management required, including visibility, hoarding, access control, rubble/waste disposal.
