The tender requires submission of the SBD 6.1 Preference Points Claim Form, which is mandatory for all bids. Ensure all claims are substantiated with certified copies of supporting documents (e.g., ID, company registration, CSD report, doctor’s letter, municipal accounts, or lease agreements).

Eligibility is open to companies/firms that can demonstrate: (1) Accreditation as an electrical trade testing service provider; (2) Valid company registration in South Africa; (3) Compliance with the Preferential Procurement Regulations 2022; (4) Ability to provide supporting documentation for any specific goals claimed (Black ownership, locality in Chris Hani or Joe Gqabi District, female ownership, disability ownership, or youth ownership). Preference points are awarded based on ownership demographics and locality, with maximum 20 points available for specific goals.

Submit proof of compliance for preference points claims, including:

• Certified copies of identity documents (for ownership, youth, or disability claims).
• Company registration documents or CSD reports (for ownership, locality, or youth claims).
• Municipal services account, lease agreement, or ward councillor/traditional authority letter (for locality claims).
• Doctor’s letter (for disability claims).

Fraudulent claims may result in disqualification, cost recovery, contract cancellation, business restrictions (up to 10 years), or criminal prosecution.
