The bidder must: 1) Not be in the service of the state; 2) Not be blacklisted by National Treasury; 3) Have no municipal rates/taxes arrears older than 90 days; 4) Possess a valid CIDB grading of 1GB or higher for general building work; 5) Be a legally registered entity.

• Scope: Refurbishment of the Analyzer & Tower Buildings at Unit 3.
• The contractor must have a CIDB grading of 1GB.
• You must submit a reference letter proving experience in similar work.
• Minimum safety requirements are attached to the tender documents. You must comply with these.
• You must provide a safety file and quote for its cost.
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory for site entry; no PPE, no entry.
• Mandatory Requirements for Submission:

1. Fully complete the Bill of Quantities (BOQ) or specification where applicable.
2. Attend the compulsory site briefing.
3. Attach datasheets, reference letters, proof of certification, proof of accreditation, and functionality requirements where applicable.
4. Quotes must be in PDF format on company letterhead. MS Word, Excel, or pictures are not accepted.
5. If in a joint venture, submit a properly signed Joint Venture Agreement.

• The contractor must make all necessary legislative and non-statutory appointments (e.g., safety officers) and keep them valid for the contract duration.
• The contractor must have a valid Letter of Good Standing from the Compensation Commissioner and maintain it for the project duration.
• The contractor must include all Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) costs in their quotation.
• Johannesburg Water and the contractor will conduct site inductions.

• You must submit a reference letter proving experience in similar refurbishment work.
• The bidding entity (and any affiliated parties) must have the qualifications, abilities, or experience to perform the work.

• Use the MBD 3.1 Pricing Schedule form.
• Only firm prices are accepted. Non-firm prices will not be considered.
• The offer must be valid for 60 days.
• The schedule must list items, quantities, unit prices, and total prices.
• Calculate subtotal, VAT at 15%, and grand total inclusive of all taxes.
• If different delivery points affect pricing, submit a separate schedule for each.
• All delivery costs must be included in the bid price.
• You must declare that you do not owe municipal rates and taxes in arrears for more than three months.

• Only firm prices will be accepted. Non-firm prices, including those subject to exchange rate variations, will not be considered.
• Your offer must be valid for 60 days from the closing date.
• The total bid price must be in South African Rand and include all applicable taxes (VAT at 15%, PAYE, income tax, UIF, SDL).
• All delivery costs must be included in the bid price for delivery to the prescribed destination.
• If different delivery points influence pricing, submit a separate pricing schedule for each point.
