The following documents must be submitted: SBD1, SBD 4, SBD 6.1, B-BBEE Status Level Verification Certificate or B-BBEE Sworn Affidavit, and proof of registration with National Treasury Central Supplier Database (CSD). Returnable documents are required.

The evaluation criteria will be based on the 80/20 preference points system. The criteria and points are: Price (80 points), Participation Goals/BEE (20 points). The price formula used is PS = 80 (1 – Pt – Pmin) / Pmin.

The scope of work includes the provision of sewer removal services for the Tsitsikamma section of the Garden Route National Park. The services include emptying of conservancy tanks, de-sludging of septic tanks, and discharge of sewerage at the Crags sewer works. The successful service provider must have the capacity to remove a minimum of 35 000 litres per day.

The pricing schedule includes the following items: establishment and de-establishment costs, Storms River mouth, Natures Valley, Bloukrans, Forestry – Storms River, disposal costs, escalation rate percent for year 2 and year 3. Payment will be made in accordance with the PFMA (within 30 days of receipt of valid invoice).

The bidder must comply with the following requirements: CIDB grading: 1CE or higher, Waste Transporter Registration Certificate, Local municipalities permits for vacuum tankers, proof of waste disposal at an approved wastewater treatment facility, vehicles must be inspected and approved for hygiene and safety compliance. The bidder must also comply with the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Act, regulations and standards, and Environmental Regulations and standards.
