The SITA Act establishes the State Information Technology Agency (SITA) as the mandated ICT procurement and service delivery agent for all national and provincial government departments. SITA manages government-wide ICT procurement including hardware, software, telecommunications, and related services. Any ICT tender issued by a government department must comply with SITA procurement frameworks and may require SITA accreditation or registration as a supplier.
Mandated ICT Procurement
SITA is the exclusive ICT procurement agency for national and provincial government (Section 7).
SITA Supplier Database
ICT suppliers must register on the SITA database to be eligible for government ICT tenders.
SITA Accreditation
Suppliers may require specific SITA accreditation depending on the ICT service category.
PPPFA Application
SITA procurement must comply with the PPPFA and B-BBEE requirements in addition to SITA-specific rules.
