• Submit one soft copy via email to [email protected] By 31 july 2026 at 13:00. • Hand-delivered proposals will not be accepted. • Late or incomplete submissions will be invalidated. • The quotation must be completed, signed, and submitted by the authorised company representative. • You must attend a compulsory site inspection/briefing on thursday, 23 july 2026 at 11:00 at the luthuli museum. Persons arriving after 11:15 will not be considered as having attended. • NO sub-contracting is permitted for the repair work. • All anticipated costs must be included in the quotation; NO additional costs will be accepted after appointment. • The successful specialist must submit a coida letter of good standing (or proof of registration/payment) before work commences. • The specialist is responsible for all damages caused during the work and must inform the project officer on the day they occur. • All personnel on site must use appropriate PPE, and the service provider must supply ladders/scaffolding as needed for safe elevated work.

1. NO sub-contracting will be permitted for the required repair work. 2. Once appointed, NO additional costs incurred by the specialist will be accepted by the museum. Therefore, all anticipated costs should be included in this quotation. 3. The successful specialist will be required to submit a letter of good standing in terms of coida; or his/her latest assessment and proof of payment thereof; or proof of registration with the compensation commissioner (only in cases of a new registration), prior to commencement of work. 4. The service provider will be responsible for the provision of required service as described in specification below. All services including materials and workmanship to be in accordance with these specification guideline and client requirements, applicable to local and national regulations and industry standards for respective trades. 5. The service provider must take all necessary precautions to ensure that he/she complies in all respects with the environmental safety legislation, and the occupational health and safety act (OHSA) aimed at protecting the health and safety of workers and others in the workplace. 6. The appointed specialist needs to provide the museum with a supplier material of a minimum of 2-year warranty/guarantee (e.g. Booster pump, filters, etc). Damages 1. The specialist shall inform the project officer of any damages caused by the specialist/personnel during the repair work on the day that such damages occur. 2. Any damage to property, as the result of the specialist’s operations, shall be the responsibility of the specialist. Safety 1. The service provider’s personnel working on site must have and use all safety and personal protective equipment (PPE) necessary for the task to be performed on site. 2. The service provider’s personnel working on site must conform to the acceptable standards of behaviour. 3. The service provider must provide all relevant material and equipment (e.g. Ladders, etc) for their personnel on site as per safety and compliance requirements and specifications for persons working in an elevated position. 4. All reasonable care shall be taken to prevent injury to people or damage to property by ensuring that equipment is properly secured and maintained and to ensure they are in good working order and equipped with the required safety devices.
