Use the 'Form of Offer and Acceptance DPW-07(EC)' for submission. Complete the 'Contract Data DPW-04(EC)' and price the Bills of Quantities. If using Option A for preliminaries, allocate each item to Fixed, Value Related, or Time Related categories.

Scope: Construction of sanitation facilities at schools in the Eastern Cape under the SAFE Initiative. Contract framework: JBCC Principal Building Agreement (Edition 4.1, March 2005) and JBCC Preliminaries Code 2103 (May 2005). Requirements: Submit a health and safety plan within 21 calendar days of the commencement date. Contractor must keep a copy of the JBCC Series 2000 documents on-site for access by the employer, principal agent, and agents.

Security options for contracts over R1 million (select one): 1) 10% cash deposit, 2) 10% variable construction guarantee, 3) 5% fixed construction guarantee + 5% payment reduction, 4) 5% cash deposit + 5% payment reduction, or 5) 10% payment reduction. For contracts under R1 million: 5% payment reduction applies. Security must be provided within 21 calendar days of the commencement date. Payment adjustments: 95% of certified value until practical completion, 97% until final completion, 99% until final payment certificate, and 100% in the final certificate (unless in employer's favor).

Comply with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Construction Regulations. For high-risk geological areas (if applicable), submit proof of adequate insurance within 21 calendar days of the commencement date. Contractor bears full risk for damage to works and indemnifies the employer against claims arising from execution of the works.
