Appointment of a panel of service providers for the maintenance of Heavy Commercial Vehicles (HDVs) and roadside assistance for the City of Mbombela. Scope includes maintenance, service, and breakdown assistance for all HDVs and vehicles above 3 tons. Duration: 36 months, as and when required.

Duration: 36 months, as and when required. Eligible bidders: Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) franchises and other capable service providers registered with RMI or equivalent.

Mandatory compliance documents: Certified ID copies of business owners, tax compliance status, certified B-BBEE certificate or sworn affidavit (to claim B-BBEE points), current municipal rates and taxes statements (or proof of residence/lease agreement with lessor’s municipal rates), CSD registration full report (summary not accepted), and company registration certificate. All documents must cover the company, active directors, and JV/consortium members.

Fraudulent activities or forging/faking of returnable documents may result in reporting to SAPS and a restriction from doing business with any public institution for up to 10 years, per Sections 28 and 29 of the Prevention and Combating of Corrupt Activities Act.

Evaluation uses a preferential point system under the Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act and Regulations, 2022. Allocation: 80 points for price, 20 points for targeted goals (B-BBEE).
