Payments are due within 30 days of invoice submission, in Rand unless otherwise specified in SCC. Performance security (e.g., bank guarantee, irrevocable letter of credit, or cashier’s cheque) must be furnished within 30 days of contract award, denominated in contract currency or freely convertible currency. Security is discharged within 30 days of contract completion, including warranty obligations.
Compliance Requirements

No contract will be concluded with bidders whose tax matters are not in order. Compliance with National Industrial Participation Programme (NIPP) is required if applicable to the contract. Prohibition of restrictive practices (e.g., collusive bidding) applies; violations may result in bid invalidation, contract termination, or public sector restrictions. Suppliers must indemnify the purchaser against third-party claims of patent, trademark, or industrial design infringement.
