Check CIDB registration and grading

CRS number: identifies the contractor on the register. Keep leading zeros when copying it.

Grade and class: a designation combines a grade with a class of construction work. A contractor may have more than one designation; check each class against the tender’s wording.

Expiry and status: check both the source status and the displayed expiry. Annual updates, renewal and registration are separate matters. Do not calculate an expiry date from the general registration cycle.

Potentially emerging (PE): read the register and tender conditions carefully. PE does not automatically establish eligibility for a higher grade.

Confirm the name, CRS number, status, all relevant designations and expiry on the official register. A missing field or an unavailable search is not proof of registration or non-registration. Check the full tender conditions separately.

For joint ventures, use the official CIDB joint venture guidance. Do not add or average partners’ grades. Assess PE exceptions against the particular tender and development conditions.
