BLIND SA’s recorded footprint is narrow but concentrated: two awards under the Government Communications (GCIS) umbrella, totalling ZAR 8.7 million, split across one Information and communication and one General Services contract. Activity spans Gauteng and the Northern Cape, with the most recent award dated 28 September 2026. The meaningful pattern is complete buyer dependency on GCIS, signalling a specialised niche relationship rather than diversified state demand.
Tender RFB 002-2026/2027 anchors this portfolio: a three-year contract to print and distribute the Braille Vuk’uzenzele newspaper, requiring 900 copies monthly on 140–160gsm paper with Contracted Unified Braille Code, within a 10-day production turnaround. The heavy evaluation weighting toward compliance returnables and technical scope signals that incumbents must demonstrate auditable distribution plans and strict quality control to retain this work, making production-planning capability as critical as printing capacity.
