Ernst & Young Advisory Services has recorded 42 public-sector awards totalling roughly R374.9 million, with activity concentrated in Gauteng and national-level mandates. The buyer base is dominated by state-owned enterprises and financial regulators: Eskom leads with four awards, followed by the IDC, Land Bank, National Treasury, Transnet and SARS. The portfolio is overwhelmingly general services work, with a sharp recent acceleration — 16 awards in 2025 and six already in 2026 — signalling an expanding advisory footprint across core fiscal and utility institutions.
The linked tender analysis reveals a portfolio anchored in asset valuation, forensic investigation and economic research panels. Eskom’s fixed-asset register assessment (E1126SSERI) and the independent tangible-asset valuation (E2579CXMWP) point to recurring technical accounting work, while FSCA’s investigation-services panel and the Western Cape’s three-year researcher panel indicate multi-year framework opportunities. Competing effectively requires compulsory briefing attendance, e-tendering compliance and demonstrated specialist capacity, with contract durations ranging from one to three years.
