Performance Requirements: Sensitivity: All primers must function after a 55g ball is dropped from 254mm onto a firing pin striking its base. Insensitivity: No primer shall function after a 55g ball is dropped from 76mm onto a firing pin striking its base. Shot time (T4) and ignition delay time (T2): Individual shot time must not exceed 4 milliseconds at +21°C ±2°C or 10 milliseconds at -40°C ±3°C. Lot Identification: Lot size must not exceed 500,000. Each lot must be identified by a lot number, type, and calibre. Lead Styphnate must be unique to one lot. Workmanship: Primers must be free from defects classified as Major A, Major B, or Minor (see document for full list). Packing: Primers must be sealed to prevent spillage or damage. Markings must be clear and accurate.
