CIDB JV Grading Combinations: What a Grade-Only Model Can Tell You

Understand published CIDB deemed combinations, class-of-works checks, and when CIDB must assess the JV.

CIDB JV Grading Combinations

A grade-only result is a planning signal, not a tender-eligibility decision. The calculator recognises only an exact published CIDB deemed combination. A Grade 3 plus Grade 3 pair is not automatically Grade 4.

Before you bid

Check each member's current registration, the required class of works, lead-partner conditions, and tender documents. For a mix outside the published combinations, CIDB must assess financial capability. Read the CIDB Grade 2–9 application guidance.

Apply this to your next tender

The Joint Venture Suite turns this guidance into practical next steps: find a partner, model the combined CIDB and B-BBEE position, and prepare your JV agreement.
