How to Verify a PSiRA Number: Business and Officer Checks

Check a PSiRA number, understand registration and certificate results, use the official fallback and retain private evidence for review.

To verify a PSiRA number, select the correct subject type and check the registration against PSiRA’s source. Read registration, certificate details and the observation date separately. If a usable result is unavailable, use the official verification page rather than treating a failed request as proof that the number is unregistered.

The Tenders SA PSiRA verification hub

combines input checks, source results, official links and private evidence review. This guide was reviewed on 23 October 2026 and explains what each part can establish.

Choose the correct subject and number

The official PSiRA guidance

describes separate business and individual verification options. Select the option corresponding to the number you hold. A business result does not establish the registration of every officer working for it.

Enter the PSiRA registration number, not a company registration identifier or an officer’s identity number. Preserve the number as written, including leading zeros. If you are unsure which number appears on a document, clarify that before associating the result with a company or personnel record.

Separate input checks from source verification

Local validation checks that input is safe and suitable to submit. It does not prove that PSiRA issued the number. Avoid assuming a fixed digit count, checksum or prefix rule without reliable information for the particular record type.

A plausible number may belong to another entity, and a correctly entered number may encounter an unavailable source. The interface should make clear whether it merely accepted the input or actually returned official registration details. A typing check is not an official registration result.

Read the returned details and dates

Where a matching source record is returned, compare its name and number with the intended subject. Read registration status independently of certificate status and expiry. Leave unfamiliar or absent facts unknown instead of inferring an answer.

Record when the source was checked. A cached result retains that original time. Before relying on it for a submission, check whether the evidence has expired, changed or reached its recheck deadline. The lookup does not establish a Letter of Good Standing or full tender compliance; those questions need separate evidence and the actual bid requirements.

Follow the official fallback

If the automatic check is unavailable or returns no matching record, first confirm the number and subject type. Use the direct business verification

or individual verification
link. The PSiRA homepage
is the official starting point if a deep link changes.

Follow the official page’s normal process. Opening it does not automatically update a saved verification record on Tenders SA. Where you need a retained observation, keep an appropriate source reference and use the authenticated evidence-review workflow.

Save a business result for company review

Sign in to retain a matching business lookup for your company. Tenders SA repeats the server-owned lookup or reads its source cache before saving; a browser-supplied status is not accepted as proof. The saved result enters identity review because a valid number can belong to another legal business.

The reviewer must corroborate the legal company identity using reliable identifiers and supporting evidence. Similar names are insufficient. If the legal identifier later changes, the association must be checked again. Public company summaries exclude private files and officer records.

Submit supporting evidence privately

Signed-in users can submit PDF, PNG or JPEG evidence up to 8MB. Select registration evidence, a registration certificate or a PSiRA Letter of Good Standing as separate check types. Enter the date shown on the document if known, rather than calculating an expiry from the upload date.

For individual evidence, select the correct personnel record in your own company and confirm permission to submit it. Keep identity numbers, addresses, photographs and personal documents out of public links. Private supporting files are accessible through authenticated review.

An upload starts as evidence awaiting review. It does not establish registration, certificate validity or Good Standing automatically. Read the review status and any request for replacement evidence. Request a recheck when an observation becomes outdated or underlying information changes.

Apply the result to one tender

Compare the verified subject and dates with the returnables for your bid. The readiness assessment

distinguishes current reviewed evidence from self-reported answers; other compliance gaps remain separate. A readiness score is not a guarantee that the buyer will accept a submission.

Use the security tender evidence guide

and final audit checklist
for the remaining preparation. Explore security opportunities
and Tender Radar
, and recheck the official source before relying on expired, stale or inconsistent evidence.
