Evaluation will assess the supplier's demonstrated understanding of and willingness to comply with all OHS requirements. Key points include: - Capability to manage contractors/suppliers, including selection criteria and processes. - Ability to ensure adequate resources and competencies for subcontractors/suppliers. - Implementation of monitoring and audit processes for OHS compliance. - Signed acknowledgement form by the authorised person (CEO/Director/Managing Director) confirming full understanding of requirements and consequences of non-compliance.

Mandatory compliance for all suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors: - Eskom Contractor Health and Safety Requirements Standards 32-136. - OHS specifications/requirements provided by Eskom. - Occupational Health and Safety Act 85 of 1993. - Compensation for Occupational Diseases and Illnesses Act 130 of 1993.

Eskom retains 2% of every invoice (excluding VAT) as security for SDL&I obligations. Penalty of 2% of the contract value applies for failure to meet SDL&I obligations. Retained amounts are released only upon submission of an approved compliance report by the SDL&I Department.
