Preference points (max 20) are awarded for B-BBEE Level 1 or 2 (10 points) and at least 30% Black Women Owned Entities (10 points). Scope: Refurbishment of 500KVA distribution transformers at 6 substations (each with 2 transformers) in the VHD East 11KV substation ring, and one 20MVA, 25KV traction substation (Iswepe) under the Depot Engineer, Vryheid. Key deliverables: Full refurbishment of transformers, including testing, repairs, and recommissioning. Site conditions: Substations are operational; strict safety and access protocols apply (PPE, breathalyser testing, no firearms). Tenderers must provide a detailed work programme, methodology, and quality management plan (ISO 9001 certification required). Minimum equipment required: Generator, Filtration System, Storage Vessel, Compressor, Spray Painting Equipment, Torque Wrench, 5-ton crane truck. Health and Safety: Comprehensive H&S questionnaire and cost breakdown required. Subcontractors must be listed and approved.

Pricing must be submitted electronically via the Transnet eSupplier Portal (no paper schedules accepted). Required financial documents: Bid Bond (Form of Guarantee), Bill of Quantities (C2.2), and 3 years of audited financial statements (T2.2-24).
