This RFI collects data for budget and cost-effectiveness analysis, risk assessment, specific goals for the future tender, award and allocation strategy recommendations, non-firm pricing, pricing schedule details, and special conditions of tender. Bidders must provide: ownership percentages and thresholds (51% or more) for Black, Black Youth, Women, Black Military Veterans, and Black People with Disabilities; business location (Gauteng Province, COJ Municipality, or COJ region); enterprise type (EME, QSE, or Generic); joint venture ownership percentages; and subcontracting percentages to HDI-owned companies.

Scope: Hire of jetting trucks for use at various Johannesburg Water sites. Chassis: double rear axle (SA road regulations compliant), minimum 5500mm or 5885mm wheelbase, engine operates at low/high idle up to 1500rpm, drive line splitter box with PTOs, SABS chevron board with lights, 3CR12 rear mudguards. Jetting tank: located on top of chassis, volume 8000L or 12000L, internal baffles to prevent water movement during travel. Accessories: steel mudguards, SABS underrun bumper and chevron with lights, 3CR12 stainless steel hose racks (full tank length), toolbox, 304 stainless steel lockable control panel, two revolving strobe lights, rear work light on hose reel. Safety: fast-reacting pneumatic e-stops, hydraulic locking door clamps, lock-out gearbox switch mechanism, automatic PTO lockout, automatic tank isolation valve, warning decals, walkway on driver side. Legal: homologated for on-road use in Southern Africa. Nozzles: penetrator, bomb, rotary/spinning, root cutters.

Provide unit rates (excl. and incl. VAT) for normal time and overtime per hour for: jetting trucks (8000L and 12000L capacities). Indicate if prices are firm or non-firm. Include a price breakdown for: raw materials, direct labour, direct overheads, transport, indirect labour, indirect overheads (total = 100%). Mandatory safety features for jetting trucks: fast-reacting pneumatic e-stops for high-pressure and vacuum operations, hydraulic locking door clamps, lock-out gearbox switch mechanism, automatic PTO lockout while driving, automatic tank isolation valve while driving, warning decals, and walkway on the driver side for on-site maintenance and operator safety.

Provide country of origin for raw materials used.
