Provision of owner’s engineer (oe) for the development of the eastern cape – kwazulu-natal 765 kv corridor strengthening project to a point of readiness to appoint an engineer, procure and construct (epc) contractor to execute the project

The komati water scheme scada upgrade project aims to address system hardware and software obsolescence as well as operating limitations currently being experienced because of compatibility between the scada and remote terminal units (rtu’s). The project presents an opportunity to comply with the latest ESKOM standards for control systems and cyber security which is included in the works.

Design, engineering, design verification/validation, material and equipment procurement, quality management, factory inspection/testing, transport and delivery to site, site inspection, construction, installation, interfacing of control and protection systems (existing and new), testing and commissioning, project management, training, supervision and interface management with other parties and all associated works and services until final completion of the work package of the 400kv,500mvar dynamic reactive compensator at aries substation in the northern cape.
