Key Design Specifications:

Two tower cranes required: CTT 181 and CTT 202.

5.5m x 5.5m reinforced concrete foundation anchored into in-situ rock using rock anchors.

3.5m x 3.5m reinforced concrete plinth.

Four 1m x 1m reinforced concrete columns (height: 8m, spaced 1.9m center-to-center).

Columns braced at 2.5m intervals using 305 x 165 x 54 steel I-beam sections.

Combined length of bases: 12m; final top elevation: 692.00m.

Design Criteria:

Loading: Detailed crane load tables provided for in-service and out-of-service conditions (various wind speeds).

Water Loads: Static and dynamic water pressure considered (dynamic pressure: 511kPa from a 32m/s water column).

Foundation: Assumed competent medium to hard granite rock; bearing pressure: 600 kPa.

**Design Requirements:**

Submit design particulars to the Service Manager for acceptance before proceeding with work.

Correct any errors, omissions, or defects in designs at your own cost.

Comply with prescribed technical, international, building, construction, and environmental laws and standards.

Maintain and supply 'as-built' records and drawings of the works prior to commencement of tests on Completion.

**Coordination:**

Work for and on behalf of the Main Contractor, DWS Construction North (Pty) Ltd.

Cooperate with the Main Contractor, comply with their reasonable instructions, and allow supervision by them.

Notify the Service Manager before carrying out any Main Contractor instruction that may change the Prices.

The Employer is responsible for the correctness of immutable data, definitions of intended purposes, testing/performance criteria, and unverifiable data in the tender documents.

Quality management requirements include:

Maintaining high standards of housekeeping on-site.

Appointing a stacking and storage supervisor in writing.
