Provision of one-year short-term insurance services for makhado local municipality

Submit completed bid documents, signed by a duly authorized person, sealed in an envelope marked with the tender reference. Deposit into the tender box at the foyer of the main entrance to the Civic Centre, 83 Krogh Street, Makhado, by the closing date and time. All tenders will be opened in public in the Council Chamber, Ground Floor, Civic Centre. Bids must remain valid for 90 days after the closing date. Disqualification risks: late, incomplete, unsigned, submitted in pencil, by telegraph, facsimile, email, or missing required documents. Non-compliance with tender specifications will also disqualify.

Evaluation uses an 80/20 preference point system. Functionality is weighted at 80 points, and preference (B-BBEE) at 20 points. Required for evaluation: certified copy of registration with the Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA). The Municipality reserves the right to accept the lowest or any bid and may accept part of a bid.

Provision of short-term insurance for a period of one (01) year. Bidders must comply with the specifications attached to the bid documents. Bid documents are obtainable from the Procurement Office or downloadable from the e-tender portal or municipality website.

Bid pricing must be submitted as per the attached specifications. Bids must remain valid for 90 days after the closing date. Required financial documents: three years of audited financial statements (if required by law). Proof of payment for municipal rates (not owing for more than 3 months) or a formal lease agreement for rental premises, or a letter from the traditional authority for non-ratable areas (required for both the entity and its directors).

Mandatory documents for evaluation: valid Tax compliance status PIN from SARS, copy of company registration documents (CK), certified copies of company owner(s) ID books (not older than 3 months), proof of payment for municipal rates or lease agreement (for entity and directors), and a full Central Supplier Database (CSD) report. All service providers must be registered on the CSD. Certified copies of certified copies will not be accepted.
