RFI: enterprise reporting tool for eskom’s cost savings and revenue enhancement tracking

Eskom Holdings SOC Ltd ("Eskom") invites service providers to respond to this Request

for Information (RFI). The RFI is a stand-alone information-gathering and market-

engagement exercise, intended to inform Eskom’s understanding of available solutions,

delivery approaches, architectures and commercial models for an enterprise-wide reporting

tool.

The purpose of the RFI is to obtain information on solutions capable of supporting the

tracking, aggregation and reporting of cost optimisation, revenue enhancement and other

efficiency initiatives across multiple business units and functional areas within Eskom.

2. SCOPE

Eskom is seeking information on solutions that are capable of:

• Maintaining historical records of initiatives and performance over time;

• Enabling basic forecasting and/or the capture of business-provided forecasts,

with the ability to track performance against such forecasts;

• Supporting auditability, including the ability to attach supporting information,

documentation or evidence to reported initiatives;

• Providing high-level insights and analytics to support management oversight and

decision-making;

• Consolidating data from multiple source systems and formats into a single

reporting environment;

• Providing initiative-level tracking with aggregation to executive and governance-level

dashboards;

• Supporting governance, scalability and long-term sustainability.

Information received through this RFI shall be used to support Eskom’s internal

assessment and the possible development of a future procurement strategy. It is important

to note that after receiving responses to this RFI, Eskom shall formulate a Closed

Procurement Strategy to Suppliers who have responded to this RFI.

Following the assessment of RFI responses, Eskom may, at its sole discretion, invite

selected respondents to participate in clarification engagements and/or solution

presentations.

The purpose of such engagements will be to enable Eskom to obtain a deeper

understanding of the solutions proposed, including functional capabilities, architectural

considerations and delivery approaches.

Participation in any such engagement will not constitute a commitment by Eskom to

procure any goods or services, nor will it confer any preferential status in any future

procurement process.

Eskom has delegated the responsibility for this RFI to the signatory of this document, whose

details can be found below.
