• Must make statutory appointments: Health and Safety Representative (Section 17), First Aider (GSR 3(4)), Incident Investigator (GAR 9(2)), etc.
• Must implement substance abuse policy aligned with Eskom’s 32-37 procedure (0% alcohol/drug level).
• Must ensure employees undergo medical surveillance by an Occupational Health Practitioner.
• Must provide OHS training and induction for all employees before site access.

• Additional evaluation criteria include compliance with Eskom’s OHS specifications (LFMS048 Rev 00 for High-Risk Activities/Services).
• Adherence to Eskom’s SHEQ Policy and legislative obligations.
• Contractors must demonstrate accountability for health and safety program quality and execution.
• Section 37(2) Legal Agreement must be signed and submitted with OHS file for evaluation prior to work start.
• All employees must be familiar with relevant Eskom OHS documentation.
