Required documents: Signed RFQ document, Central Supplier Database (CSD) report with supplier number, Tax Status Verification PIN and tax registration number, detailed pricing structure on company letterhead (full cost breakdown, inclusive of VAT, disbursements, and escalations), valid B-BBEE certificate or sworn affidavit, valid tax certificate and/or tax PIN, proposed timeline for execution, and company profile detailing experience in handling/transporting museum collections or similar specialist items. Failure to submit any required document may disqualify the quotation. Emailed submissions are accepted, but the onus is on the bidder to confirm receipt. Alterations to the tender document (other than filling in details and price) will disqualify the bidder. Quotes must be valid for 30 days from the closing date.
Evaluation Criteria
Source: IZIKO-RFQ- Transport and Storage.pdfEvaluation uses the 80/20 preference point system: 80 points for price (lowest acceptable tender scores highest) and 20 points for specific goals. Specific goals: B-BBEE status (50%+ black ownership = 20 points; <50% black ownership = 10 points; 0% = 0 points). Proof of B-BBEE certificate, company registration, and CSD report is required to claim points. Iziko promotes 'best value' (not just lowest price), considering expertise, experience, and technical proposals. Failure to submit proof for specific goals means no points are awarded for those goals.
