Provision of deep hole drilling and final machining services for Turbo Gen Services across all departments, supporting Eskom Generation maintenance activities including planned outages, interim outages, statutory inspections, emergent breakdowns, and unplanned maintenance at Hendrina, Kusile, and Medupi Power Stations.

Returnable Documents: The tenderer must submit a completed Form of Offer and Acceptance, including any Schedule of Deviations. Any deviations from tender documents must be recorded in the Schedule of Deviations. Cover letters must not be included in final contract documents.

Scope: Provision of deep hole drilling and final machining services for Turbo Gen Services across all departments. Services include deep hole drilling (gun drilling, BTA) for components like turbine casing studs, valve bodies, thermowells, flanges, nozzles, and pressure parts. Final machining includes boring, reaming, honing, turning, milling, facing, grinding, profiling, thread cutting, and surface finishing to OEM specifications. Work supports planned outages, interim outages, statutory inspections, emergent breakdowns, and unplanned maintenance at Hendrina, Kusile, and Medupi Power Stations. Quality requirements: Comply with Eskom Rotek Industries quality standards and ISO requirements; maintain a documented Quality Management System (QMS); perform dimensional inspections; provide measurement reports; rectify non-conforming work at no cost. Skills and competency: Machinists must hold recognized trade qualifications (e.g., Red Seal); demonstrate practical competency on CNC and conventional machines; maintain a Skills and Competency Matrix; supervised by qualified Workshop Foreman or Engineering Technician. Health, safety, and environment: Comply with Occupational Health and Safety Act 85 of 1993 and Eskom SHEQ standards; use mandatory PPE; complete Risk Assessments (HIRA/JSA); handle swarf, lubricants, and cleaning materials per Matla Workshop environmental guidelines.

Pricing: Based on Rate Table in C2; price per Scope of Work determined per Task Order issued on an as-and-when required basis. Payment terms: Within 60 days of receipt of tax compliant invoice. Payment on actual progress completed; assessment certificate must be signed by Project Manager and Contractor's representative and accompany tax invoice. For SOW durations longer than 30 days, a mutually agreed payment structure will be entered into the assessment schedule of the Task Order. VAT: Contractor must include Employer's VAT number 4330196330 on each invoice. Interest rate: Zero percent above publicly quoted prime rate of interest charged by Standard Bank of South Africa Limited.

B-BBEE: Contractor must notify Employer within seven days of any change in B-BBEE status; submit updated verification certificate within thirty days; decreased status may lead to contract re-negotiation or termination. Ethics: Any illegal or corrupt practice constitutes grounds for termination. Confidentiality: Contractor must not disclose contract information; prior written consent required for taking images of Affected Property. Health and safety: Contractor undertakes to comply with Construction Regulations 2014, Occupational Health & Safety Act, and all applicable health and safety laws; ensure subcontractors, employees, and others comply. Insurance: Contractor must provide insurances as per Insurance Table, covering loss/damage to Employer's property, plant and materials, equipment, liability for property damage, bodily injury, and employee injury. Tax compliance: Contractor must comply with Value Added Tax Act No 89 of 1991.
