• Contract period: 2 years
• The certification body must hold accreditation from the relevant accreditation body
• The bidder must have approved operational premises with the infrastructure needed to deliver the services
• Shortlisted bidders may be required to present their service offering in line with the scope of work
• SAWS may conduct site visits to confirm the firm's existence and validate its capacity, employees and administration office

• The service is the certification of SAWS's Quality Management System against ISO 9001:2015.
• The successful bidder must conclude a Service Level Agreement with SAWS, forming part of the supply agreement, to measure, monitor and assess performance
• The successful bidder must provide a scorecard showing how its service offering is measured
• SAWS may conduct reference and background checks and site visits to verify the firm's existence, capacity, employees and administration office

• Prices quoted may not vary from the bid prices unless a price adjustment is authorised
• Invoices are settled within 30 days of receipt, unless otherwise agreed before award
• Financial capacity
• SAWS may request the bidder's latest audited financial statements before award to confirm financial stability; failure to provide them on request may result in rejection
• SAWS may decline to award if the bid price is not market related

• Registration and tax
• Bidders must be registered on the Central Supplier Database (CSD) or provide a SARS Tax Compliance Status (TCS) PIN
• A printed TCS certificate may be submitted with the bid
• Consortia, joint ventures and subcontractors must each submit a separate TCS certificate, PIN or CSD number
• Foreign suppliers with no South African tax obligations or trading history must complete the foreign supplier questionnaire in Annexure A
• A B-BBEE status level verification certificate or a sworn affidavit (for EMEs and QSEs) must be submitted to claim preference points
• B-BBEE status level and the choice between certificate and sworn affidavit are declared in Annexure A
• Exclusion
• No bids will be considered from persons in the service of the state, companies with directors in the service of the state, or close corporations with members in the service of the state
• Bidders listed on the Register for Tender Defaulters or the List of Restricted Suppliers are automatically disqualified
• Failure to provide or comply with the tax and registration particulars may render the bid invalid
• Accreditation
• The bidder must be an accredited certification body for ISO 9001:2015

• The bidder indemnifies SAWS against third-party claims of patent, trademark or industrial design infringement arising from use of the goods or services.
• Payment: within 30 days of receipt of invoice, unless otherwise stated or agreed before award

• The service provider must have approved operational premises with the necessary infrastructure and relevant accreditation

• Bidders must comply with their tax obligations and submit a SARS PIN or TCS certificate, or a CSD number.
