Submit a sealed envelope with the tenderer’s name, address, tender number (240S/2025/26), and closing date clearly marked. Insert into Tender Box 184 at the Tender & Quotation Boxes Office, 2nd Floor (Concourse Level), Civic Centre, 12 Hertzog Boulevard, Cape Town, before 10:00 on 22 June 2026. If the box is full or the tender is too large, enquire at the public counter (Tender Distribution Office) for alternative instructions. Required returnable documents include: Schedule F.5 (Declaration of Interest – State Employees), Schedule F.7 (Declaration of Tenderer’s Past SCM Practices), Schedule F.10 (Proposed Deviations and Qualifications), and proof of tax compliance (valid SARS Tax Compliance Status PIN). All documents must be completed, signed, and submitted in the tender envelope. Non-compliance with submission requirements may result in disqualification.

Functionality evaluation: Minimum qualifying score is 70/100. Criteria and weightings are detailed in the tender document. Price evaluation: 90/10 preference point system applies. Price points (Ps) are calculated based on the lowest acceptable tender. Preference points are allocated as follows: >15% of total expenditure = 3 points; <5% of total expenditure = 0 points; >5% of total profit = 3 points; 3% to 5% of total profit = 2 points. Total adjudication points determine the highest-ranked tenderer. Two tenderers may be appointed (winner and alternative).

Provision of wet refuse collection service to various suburbs in the Far South area of the City of Cape Town, including Muizenberg, St James, Kalk Bay, Fish Hoek, Noordhoek, Ocean View, Kommetjie, Masiphumelele, Sunvalley, Sunnydale, Glencairn, Simon’s Town, Cape Point, Scarborough, and surrounds. Contract period: 36 months (3 years) from commencement date. Tenderers must comply with all specifications outlined in Section C.5 of the tender document.

Tender fee: R200 (non-refundable, payable for hard copies; not applicable for website downloads). Pricing must be submitted as per the Price Schedule (Section C.4). Payment terms and guarantees (e.g., Performance Security, Advance Payment Guarantee) are detailed in Annexures C and D. Contract Price Adjustment provisions are included in Schedule F.1.

Tax Compliance: Valid SARS Tax Compliance Status PIN must be submitted for the tenderer and each party in a Joint Venture/Consortium. B-BBEE: Minimum Level 6 required.
