Repairs and refurbishment of melmoth water treatment works

Submit a completed tender in a sealed envelope clearly marked with the tender number. Deposit the document in the tender box at King Cetshwayo District Municipality Offices, Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi House, Corner Kruger Rand and Barbados Bay Road, Richards Bay CBD. Submissions must be made on the official documentation provided by the Municipality. Fax or email submissions are not accepted. Failure to complete forms (including MBD 4) or provide required data will result in disqualification.

The tender follows an 80/20 preferential points system. Evaluation includes a mandatory functionality and compliance stage. A minimum threshold of 70% for functionality is required; failure to meet this threshold results in immediate disqualification. Specific goals under the PPPFA 2022 and RDP (such as 100% black ownership for EME/QSE) are applicable.

The project involves repairs and refurbishment of the Melmoth Water Treatment Works under the Emergency Intervention Programme. Tenderers must possess a CIDB contractor grading of 7ME or higher.

A compulsory non-refundable tender deposit fee of R901.00 is required. Payment can be made at the KCDM Cashier Offices or via EFT to First National Bank, King Cetshwayo District Municipality, Acc: 62943444125, Bank Code: 210554, using the company name and tender number as reference.

Registration on the Central Supplier Database (CSD) is mandatory. Tenderers must complete all declarations, including MBD 4. State employees or entities with state-affiliated directors/shareholders are restricted under regulation 44. CIDB grading of 7ME or higher is required.
